New to Pawshake but not all new for being pawparents!.
Hi All,
My first dog 'Baalie' - She is a lovely golden retriever and she changed my life forever when she came into mine. Before i used to be scared of dogs, but now I truly beleive that every family needs a dog in their home as people can experience love at truly different level(unconditional). Baalie hasn't left my side ever, she is always with me. Currently she is living with my parents in India and spreading happiness and joy to my retired folks.
In Netherlands, I live in Utrecht with my husband Abhishek and thankfully he is a dog person too, equally passionate as I am.
Through the last 10 years or more, we have both experienced taking care of and being loved by a variety of breeds from a tiny little pomerian to giants like great dane, rottweiler(including lasapso, golden retrievers, labradors, shepherd dogs, indie's etc.).
In Netherlands,we actively volunteer as foster parents to dogs that need to be rehomed/rehabilitated into their permanent loving homes and as part of this, we have dealt with caring for dogs that have gone through severe trauma, including taking them to hospitals for vet check-ups , surgery, controlled diets, changing bandages etc.
We are both working in a corporate setting which means 7-8 hours in the weekdays we are busy, but thankfully we have the flexibility to work from home all days of week and will be able to provide the required attention and love.
Why do we want to do this and not get our own dog?
We are both travellers and at the moment are not ready for a commitment for a 15-20 years but we would love to get there soon. To fill the gap we have in our lives until then, we are very open to taking care of your dogs just as our own for the time you need.
What are we open to?
1. Dog sitting
2. Doggy day care
