Hi there! My name is Justine. I am originally from South Africa now living in the Netherlands. I grew up having pets - various dogs and later on cats too, but I have always loved all animals. In South Africa, I used to do pet sitting as a way of making some money on the side - I figured it was the best job for me, as I could spend time with animals, something which makes me happy and feel at peace, as well as make some money that would contribute towards my living expenses while being a student.

I appreciate the flexibility that comes with looking after animals but also the discipline that comes with it as I know that there are these sweet creatures that are relying on me. And so, now that I am in the Netherlands, I suppose my motivation to be a pet sitter hasn't changed - I would love to look after and spend time with animals, and earn some money that will contribute to living expenses.

My main experience is with dogs and cats, however, I volunteered at a parrot sanctuary and learn a lot about looking after birds as well. In addition, I have also taken care of fish, and small mammals such as hedgehogs/tenrecs. For the time being, while my appartment is still being furnished and painted, I will not be offering for animals to board in my home, however, I hope to offer this service in the future.
