Hello everyone! Our names are Maya and Quinn and we are an expat couple originally from the United States, now living in Den Haag. We live here with our seven-year-old French bulldog and two Maine Coon kittens. We are both 30 years old; Maya moved to Amsterdam for work in 2020, Quinn moved in late 2022, then we moved to Den Haag together in December. We both primarily work from home during the day, which gives us a lot of flexibility to take care of your furry friends!

We are both avid animal lovers and grew up with all sorts of pets – dogs and cats, yes, but also fish, rats, chickens, and more. We've had and cared for pets for our entire lives and can’t imagine a life feeling complete without animals in it. In our time both owning and caring for the pets of others, we have experience in managing many pets at once (including two weeks of us caring for 15 dogs, 4 cats, 2 goats, and about 100 chickens at once!), administering oral medication, overnight stays, and drop-in visits.

For your dogs, we are more than happy to visit for walks or check-ins on days you’re not home. While we currently have a Frenchie, we both grew up with large dogs and absolutely adore energetic, big dogs. We are happy to care for dogs of all shapes and sizes.

For your cats, we have experience with both indoor and outdoor cats. Our cats are fully indoor cats with outdoor-cat energy, and we are more than happy spending time entertaining and playing with an energetic cat. On the other hand, we love to offer a lap and snuggles for lower-energy cats. We are very patient and gentle while getting to know new cats and will take the time to allow them to trust us.

We are both available for check-ins and walks, and usually have one of us available for overnight stays. In all instances, we are inquisitive about owners’ preferences and experiences, as nobody knows better than you the needs and wants of your pets. We will always follow instructions given and will share photos and other updates during our visits. We prefer to have an initial meeting with you and your pet before confirming anything so you can be sure it is a good fit. We both speak English (and Maya can try a bit of Dutch, but no promises!) and will keep you informed and assured throughout our visits. 

We currently live in Bezuidenhout and are accepting bookings with preference for pets within cycling distance. However, if you are located further, we are happy to talk and see what we can make work.
