Together with my husband, we would love to take great care of your cat while you are away! Since we work from home most days and are always free on Fridays, we are flexible in scheduling visits, which allows us to give your pet the attention and care it deserves. Because we are a team of two, there are more possibilities to cover different times of the day for visits, offering even more flexibility to suit your needs. That being said, we will try our best to accommodate any last minute requests, however we cannot guarantee that we will be available during specific time-slots.

Saša and I moved to the Netherlands about 8 years ago, and we’ve had our cat Monty for over 6 and a half years. We know firsthand how challenging it can be to find reliable care for your pet, especially when you're traveling. We used to rely on friends to help out, but since moving to Houten after buying a house, it has become more difficult to find sitters due to the distance. That’s when we discovered Pawshake and found a wonderful cat sitter nearby. Inspired by this experience, we want to help others who face the same challenge of finding trusted care for their pets while they’re away.

During our house visits, we will make sure to play with your cat, clean the litter box, and provide fresh food and water. If needed, we’re also happy to water your plants. We understand how important it is to stay connected, so we’ll send daily photos and videos of your cat to keep you updated while you’re away.

Communication can be done in Dutch or English, as you prefer—Saša speaks Dutch fluently, and I am currently learning it.

I’ve always been an animal lover and grew up surrounded by pets, from cats to dogs, ever since I was a child. Adopting Monty was a natural step for us when we settled here, and she has been an irreplaceable part of our family ever since! We understand how important it is for you to feel at ease while away, knowing your pet is in good hands, and we are here to offer that peace of mind.
